GRAMMY Award-winning musician
Tom Chapin is a multi-talented singer, songwriter and guitarist whose career has spanned five decades and earned him three GRAMMY Awards. His ability to connect with the audience through his warmth, charismatic performances, and sterling musicianship is what keeps audiences returning. Well-known and highly respected for his contemporary folk music, The New York Times called Chapin “one of the great personalities in contemporary folk music,” he has also had a parallel career as an award-winning “family” musician. His latest CD, The Incredible Flexible You, has won many awards, including: Parents’ Choice Gold Award, Family Choice Award, Creative Child CD Of The Year Award and Academics’ Choice Smart Media Award. Because his educational songs are utilized so often in the classroom, he has dedicated a page to teachers on his website.
Mr. Chapin’s work with children’s content has also extended into narration. His three GRAMMYs are for Best Spoken Word Album for Children for: Mama Don’t Allow, There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly and The Train They Call The City Of New Orleans.
In addition to his extensive work as a recording artist and performer, Mr. Chapin has also worked on Broadway, in radio, TV and film.
